Pattern of Examination
- Semester System is followed for all UG and PG courses.
- Each academic year is divided into two semesters, and each semester has:
- Internal Assessments (IA) / Sessional Exams
- Practical/Laboratory Assessments
- University End-Semester Examinations (Theory & Practical)

Internal Assessments / Sessional Exams
- Conducted periodically during the semester to track continuous learning.
- Comprise written tests, viva-voce, presentations, assignments, projects, and class
participation.
- Internal marks are added to final semester grades as per BUHS norms.
- Minimum attendance of 75% is mandatory to be eligible for appearing in semester exams.

Practical / Laboratory Evaluation
- Separate practical exams are conducted at the end of each semester.
- Assess students' hands-on skills, record-keeping, experimental accuracy, and
understanding of lab protocols.
- Includes viva-voce and evaluation of practical journals.

University End-Semester Examinations
- Conducted by BUHS as per prescribed schedule and syllabus.
- Consist of theory papers and practical exams for each subject.
- Minimum passing criteria: as per BUHS/PCI guidelines (usually 50% theory & 50% practical
separately).
- Degrees/Diplomas are awarded by BUHS after successful completion of all semesters.

Grading & Result Declaration
- Results are declared within 45 days of the completion of examinations.
- Grading system follows the 10-point scale as per university norms.
- Students can apply for re-evaluation/re-checking as per university rules.
- Comprehensive mark sheets and degree certificates are provided upon successful
completion.
